Uula Door and Window Paint

Uula Door and Window Paint is a durable traditional oil paint that is easy to apply and results in a smooth finish.

Intended use: It is suited to various types of wood and wood fibre board surfaces indoors as well as outdoors in covered spaces; interior doors, architraves, skirting boards and furniture. Not suited to painting exterior walls. It is also suitable for previously painted metal surfaces such as insulated storage heaters.
Colors: May be tinted to most commonly available colour charts. Please note that depending on the gloss level, the tinting paste, machinery or tinting method, there may be subtle variations in shade.
Gloss grade: Semi-glossy
Coverage: 10-12 m2/litre.
Application: Brush
Conditions: The surface must be dry and the moisture content of the wood below 15 %. The relative air humidity must be below 80 % and the temperature at least +10°C.
Drying time:At 20°C and <80 % relative humidity: Dust-dry in approximately six hours. A new coat can be applied. after 24 hours at the earliest. Note: Heat and light accelerate drying. (10°C recommended.)
Density: approx. 1,12 kg/l
Thinner: Uula Universal Thinner
Cleaning of equipment: Clean the equipment with Uula Universal Thinner or petroleum spirit and rinse with soap and water.
Storage and disposal: Keep in a cool and dry place. Does not freeze. Always stir well before use as the pigment settles during storage.

PAINTING INSTRUCTIONS
Preparation: Remove peeling and flaking old paint with a scraper. Sand a high-gloss, painted or varnished old surface matt and remove dust. Wash dirty surfaces with Uula Paint Washing Agent and mouldy, exterior surfaces with Uula Uula Mould Cleaning Agent.
Priming: Prime with a thin layer of paint, interior surfaces with iNTO Interior Primer and exterior ones with Uula Exterior Primer. Fill any holes and cracks when necessary. Sand and remove dust.
Finishing: Apply 2-3 coats of Door and Window Paint. Thin with Uula Universal Thinner 10-15 % if necessary. Let dry for at least 24 hours before applying a new coat and sand if necessary.
Be really careful with all painted surfaces during the first month. Clean the surface only with soft rags and sponges that do not scratch the surface. Use only neutral washing agents. Rinse the surfaces carefully.

NOTES
The paint must always be stirred well before and during use. Reserve enough paint for a large surface in order to avoid potential colour variations in different batches. Caution: Linseed oil on cleaning rags etc. may catch fire by itself. Oily rags and cloths etc. should be burned or rinsed in water before putting into refuse bins.
