Linseed oil soap ins environmentally safe, biodegradable and effective product for treating wooden floors. It gives beautiful natural finish that is pleasant to walk on.
Consentrate pH 10.
Instructions
- Sand the floor with 120-240 sandpaber. Smoother surface will have less white color. Clean from dust.
- Moisture the floor with cold water.
- Stir the soap well. Add 0.5 to 1dl of soap to 1L of cold water. If the floor is very dry use more soap. Scrub the floor withsoap water mixture 2-4 times. Each application round gives a lighter color and stronger protection layer.
- Apply soap along the wood grain, few boads at the time. Extremely dirty spots can be cleaned with undiluted soap.
- Remove soap remains from the floor with a wet rug after 15 minutes. Let it dry.
Tips
- Dont use white linseed oil soap on dry floor. It might leave marks.
- Warm water makes the wood grey.
- Slight grain might rise after the first application round. In that case slight sanding is necessary.
- For maintaining durable protection layer, wooden floors should be treated with linseed oil soap 1-2 times a year.
- For daily washing use regular linseed oil soap.
