Le Tonkinois Linseed Oil Varnish

Le Tonkinois, an oil of the highest purity, has been pressed exclusively from the best linseed and refined at 270 ° C for more than 100 years using tried-and-tested processes. The end product, to which a part of pure China wood oil is added, is an oil that is not surpassed by any chemical product. On wood and degreased metals, Le Tonkinois provides permanent protection that does not know the possible health risks of comparable chemical products, which consist of 50-60% solvent. Le Tonkinois is free from aromatic, ethereal, chlorinated and harmful solvents, as well as from chemical UV stabilizers and does not develop any harmful vapors. Le Tonkinois is the perfect protection for every wood outdoors and indoors, preserves the natural, warm character of the wood for almost unlimited time, even under extreme climatic conditions. Wind and weather can destroy the natural beauty of the wood. Treatment with Le Tonkinois takes away its destructive effects from the weather. Natural surfaces impress with their beautiful wood grain that are still fired up by Le Tonkinois. Thanks to the natural UV filter of Chinese nut oil, coated wooden surfaces are protected from the weather for many years. Le Tonkinois wood protection paint is golden yellow and therefore not suitable for light woods such as birch or maple. Le Tonkinois wood preservative paint is applied in three to four steps. The coats of paint should always be rolled or spread thinly and only applied once a day. Particularly well suited for the monument conservation area.

Ingredients: boiled linseed oil, tung oil, natural resins
Areas of use: Wood and metal indoors and outdoors.
Coverage: First coat 20 m²/l, next coats 30 m²/l.
Drying time: Tack free 6 h, next cat can be applied after 24h. Maximum number of coats is not restricted. Floors with 2-3 coats are ready for use after 3 days.
Gloss grade: Glossy To obtain matte surface mix Gelomat into final two layers.
Matt - 1 part Le Tonkinois varnish / 1 part Gelomat
Semi-matt - 2 parts Le Tonkinois varnish / 1 part Gelomat
Semy-glossy - 3 parts Le Tonkinois varnish / 1 part Gelomat
Cleaning of tools: Immediately after use with Le Tonkinois dilutant.
Storage: Sealed airtight container.
Self life: At least 5 years.

INSTRUCTIONS: < Surface must be dry (15%), grease, wax and dust free Sand coarse surfaces. Stir well. Apply thin layer with a brush. Dilute first coat 5% with Le Tonkinois solvent. For large areas use short haired roller. It is possible to spray, in that case dilute 5-10%. Sand between coats 180 grit sandpaper. Avoid varnishing in direct sunlight, too hot or dusty conditions. Recommended temperature is at least 12ºC.

Waste disposal: Dispose of product residues and packaging in accordance with local government regulations. Only empty cans are recycled.
